Xbox series x download speed less than all other devices

I have fibre to the premises with EE, and pay for the 500Mbps package. On ALL of my devices connected to the internet via Wifi I get anywhere between 490-510 mbps throughout my entire home, apart from my xbox series x. My xbox is directly above the router but only pulls through a maximum of around 220-230 mbps download speed. If I put my phone next to where the xbox is, it gets 500 using Ookla speed test with no issues. I've played around with all the advanced settings on the xbox, changing DNS servers, clearing MAC, doing hard resets, clearing cache etc.... EE have done all hard resets on my router, and all checks come back to say the router is getting the full 500 download speed. Ethernet isn't an option for me (Ive used tp links and power lines historically but I can't imagine they'll enable me to get anywhere near 500 mbps download so haven't really considered it for now.)

Does anyone know why this is? Is this an xbox issue?

downloads from the Xbox networke cap approximately 250 Mbps as Xbox services share servers with every other Microsoft product. This is sufficient speed to download most games in under an hour

Are you suggesting that Xbox series x are not capable at all of getting more than 250 download speed? I have a friend who lives less than a mile aware who pulls through over a 1gbps on series x, how do you explain that?

Appreciate 250 is a good speed, but besides the point. Why should Microsoft gamers be limited to 250mbps download speed when WiFi packages exceed this massively?

I am seeing the same cap. all of my other wired devices get 600 down but the Xbox Series X (also wired) maxes out around 260.

Sustained speeds for game downloads stick around 160.. this is with all other apps and games closed...

I downloaded 79Gb COD WZ in less than 30 minutes. This may be your ISP issue?

As I said, it works fine on my xbox one x, my series x is reporting my d/l and upload speeds incorrectly by a factor of 10.

My internet speed is 1Gbps and my series x is plugged into the router via ethernet. But, My series x is only getting 200mbps with nobody on any devices and no games running in the background. Additionally, the latency on my series x never gets below 60ms whilst my other devices get as low as 9 ms. How do I fix this speed discrepancy on my series x.
