    Xbox Series X disconnects from 5Ghz internet every 20-30 minutes.


    Anything I do on on connections that aren't 5ghz are fine but as soon as I switch to that one it just disconnects every 20-30 minutes making any game not worth playing. It automatically reconnects quite quickly. It's just frustrating that a 600 dollar console does this. Any solution to this problem?

    I don't understand on why my original xbox one was fine with 5GHZ but the series x just doesnt want to stay connected to it. And I'm unable to connect an ethernet cable as teh modem/router is no where near my xbox so I dont know how to improve the connection to my xbox

    5Ghz wireless is great for speed, not so good for distance. If you are too far from your router, I would stick with 2.4Ghz.

    We always recommend using LAN, as it has less latency. Any chance you could connect an ethernet cable? I use powerline adaptors, but they can be a hit or miss.

    Also it's not random times that I disconnect. It seems to happen every 20-30 minutes. I fully disconnect from Xbox Live altogether.
