    Xbox series X crashing while playing Cold War


    Hoping someone in microsoft can get this sorted or passed on to activision to fix as their game is killing the console, forcing the game to freeze and crash back to the home screen.

    it is happening on such a frequent bases that it now a serious issue which activision support are doing nothing but redirecting people to xbox support.

    Any help on this issue out with what is already out there ie reseting the console, correct game version for my console, etc as i have tried all of this nothing has fixed the issue

    Xbox Series X shutting down while playing COD Cold War

    I’m having the same problem man, although I don’t believe it’s an Xbox Series X issue. I haven’t bought next gen and am still only on the Xbox One X and my game constantly crashes ONLY while playing Cold War. I have no clue how to fix my own issue but
    for Series X users I hear that turning off Ray Tracing is an easy temporary fix. I’ve also heard that this issue has been breaking peoples Series X so you might just want to hold off on playing until they release a patch.

    I accidentally purchased Cold War standard edition on my Series X. The standard version is barely playable because it always crashes the console. I tried to get a refund for the game, but it was 16 days and not 14 days after digital purchase. I would like
    to get the cross-gen version of Cold War, so that I can play without it always crashing. So far Xbox support has denied my request based on the 14 day rule. I think they could make an exception.
