Xbox series x crashing all games except cloud play on game pass

All installed games are crashing or freezing on my xbox series x. I installed halo infinite and gears 5 from game pass, war thunder from the store and resident evil village from a disk and none of them work. The only thing that works is playing from the cloud via game pass. I've tried power cycling, removing and re-adding my xbox account, resarting my console, and resetting while and while not keeping games and apps. Is something wrong with the ssd?

Are you installing the games on the internal storage or external storage? Have your tried using a different account? Also you could try to connect the console trough a mobile hotspot please?

If you were planning to play the games from the cloud, then chances are the lag would be the same, but if you install to the console, then the games would play much better.

The Xbox Series S would work fine, but the games would not be in 4K. If you want 4K gaming the Xbox Series X would be the console to purchase.

No you would not need to purchase the games if the games are on Game Pass. Since you are playing on the cloud, you probably have Game Pass Ultimate anyway.

That game has not been released for the Xbox One. If he has Game Pass Ultimate, he can play it through the Cloud on the One, but otherwise the game will only work on Series S/X or PC.

No. Series S/X games won't work on a One. The only way they can be played on the One is if they're available through cloud gaming with Game Pass Ultimate.

The game is a Xbox Series X|S & Windows 10/11 game. If you get Game Pass Ultimate, you can play the game on the Xbox One via Xbox Cloud Gaming. That is the only way you can play the game on your console.
