Xbox Series X Controller won't reconnect to PC

Hello! I just bought the new Xbox Series X Controller to play games on my Windows PC, but I'm facing an annoying bug.

I use a common Bluetooth adapter that has worked with a previous Dualshock 4 normally, which means I have been able to pair it to my PC and, when Bluetooth was turned on, I could just press the Playstation button to automatically reconnect it to my PC (not
needing to pair it again).

The trouble is: this Xbox controller can't do the same. I'm able to find it in the Bluetooth settings when I put it on Sync Mode (holding the sync button for 3 seconds) and pair it (and game with it). But when the connection is lost, either because the bluetooth
or the PC itself was turned off, when I press the Xbox button on the controller again (after turning on both PC and bluetooth), it just flashes slowing trying to find it, but never accomplishes. I have to remove the controller from my Bluetooth devices (which
shows it's currently paired) and pair it again, repeating this every single time I want to play with it over bluetooth.

I have already:

Updated Windows to 20H2.

Updated the controller's firmware using Xbox Acessories app (via USB, which works just fine)

Tried to use Troubleshooter for Bluetooth Devices (nothing was reported).

I've also tested doing the same thing but with an Android device (Galaxy S8), and I was able to successfully pair the controller with the device, and reconnect it after turning off and on the device's Bluetooth (the expected but not happening on PC behavior).
I don't own an Xbox Series X|S to test it, but it's also the expected behavior (you press the Xbox button on the controller -> it connects to the previous connected device, the Xbox console) that I can't currently have on PC.

Is anyone else having the same trouble? Has anyone been able to fix it?

Hi there R393X welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest uninstalling the accessories app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

There isn't a specific adaptor for the Series X/S controllers for PC. The current adaptor works just fine with these newer controllers, however it is now in very short supply. There are third party ones available that do the same thing.

The Xbox 360 wireless controllers use a different WIFI protocol, they need their own Xbox 360 wireless Gaming Receiver.

Xbox One and Series X/S controllers can be connected to PC via Bluetooth, but headsets will only work with the Xbox One adaptor (or a third party version), they won't work when the controller is connected via BT

Is it true regarding the xbox elite series 2 being halted in terms of manufacturing and dispatching due to Microsoft performing a hardware revision due to the amount of errors and problems occurring for users

When will all these problems such as stick drift and buttons not work after a month or 2 be resolved and when will the next model be released that isnt a beta

I purchased my Elite Series 2 specifically for the Bluetooth connectivity to my PC since I've got an xbox One X and have moved over primarily to PC Gaming...I wanted to connect wirelessly to my PC and it connects just fine. But when I start playing a game
it FREQUENTLY disconnects repeatedly and reconnects until one time it just won't reconnect in the middle of the game so I'm FORCED to play purely wired if I want stability with the $180 controller. I've already got EVERYTHING up to date in my PC and I literally
mean everything. The controller firmware is updated as well.

I've also already been through a warranty exchange once.

The Series S and X controllers work on same devices the earlier controller can connect to. This includes:

Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)

Xbox One, One S, X and Series X/S.
