Xbox Series X Controller warranty

Hi everyone

I am planning to buy a Xbox Series X controller for my PC (I don't have a console) but had some doubts regarding the warranty.

I will list the questions one by one .

Que 1 : What is the warranty period offered by Microsoft India for its Xbox Controllers ?

Que 2 : How to claim the warranty just in case the controller bricks ? I've heard that without a xbox console you can't register your controller individually, so basically that means throwing warranty outside the window ? That's absurd considering it costs Rs 5000 which is not cheap !

Que 3 : Does Microsoft have any service centers in India for that matter ?

Any help would be appreciated. I am planning to buy in June 2021.

P.S. I am new to Microsoft community, So please forgive me if i have posted it in the wrong category.

I bought Xbox Wireless Elite Series 2 Controller, Here in EU (Greece) all controllers have 1 year warranty and the Series X/S consoles 2 years.

but my xbox and xbox series x controller have warranty till fifth of March I live in the United Kingdom

This limited warranty that you have covers only the hardware of the console (Xbox Series X), the control only has the 3-month warranty which is the term offered for accessories and devices from the Xbox brand.

*I recommend that you try to register the controller on the website, if it doesn't work, it's because Microsoft doesn't support this out-of-warranty controller.

Its happened on a couple of controllers. The one that came with the series x and an older xbox one pad. Ill look into the warranty.

It's not a year though

The only controllers that come with a year warranty is the elites

NOT the included console controllers which only comes with accessories warranty which is 90days

You would have to buy ms complete within 30days of purchase of your xbox series x to be covered under extended warranty

Your console and plug is covered by a year not controllers
