Xbox Series X controller randomly disconnects then restarts my computer?

What I would recommend is for you to try to connect your controller to your built in bluetooth device, monitor the behavior while being near your PC and see if you will encounter the same issue. While doing this, ensure that your 3rd party adapter is removed.

If it's working normally, try connecting again to your external dongle.

If you are only experiencing issues with the dongle, I would recommend that you check the device manufacturer's website to see if there's any available driver update then try again.

In addition, the latest Xbox controller firmware update may affect Bluetooth connectivity and performance with some non-Xbox devices. If your controller is having Bluetooth-related issues after a firmware update, you can choose to revert your controller to an earlier firmware version and see if it will correct the problem.

On your Xbox console, press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system > Xbox Support > Get help > Help topics > Hardware & networking > Controllers > My Xbox controller has connection issues after the last update. Select Check your controller’s firmware to open the controller firmware reversion screen in the Xbox Accessories app, and then follow the instructions in the app.

My controllers keep disconnecting from my Xbox series X randomly while playing games. When it happens I connect a different controller and it keeps happening. I have 3 xbox one controllers and 2 series x controllers. I've tried using all of them. I've also gone through all of the troubleshooting steps, made sure controller and console updates have been done and have reset and reconnected the controllers multiple times. I've even tried saving the game soft resetting the console then restarting and reconnecting a controller. I cannot play the trial or opens in FH5 as those are multiplayer races and you cannot pause or rewind or you lose your place. Does my console have a defect with its bluetooth connection?

I understand. Please try to reinstall the Series 2 driver:

First, disconnect the controller from the computer.

Go to Start > Search and click on device manager > Find the Elite Series 2 controller driver. Right click on it > Uninstall.

Restart your computer. Plug the controller on the computer and wait until the driver is installed again. Open the Xbox Accessories App and check for the buttons mapping and if the controller is correctly recognized.

Try to play again and see if you still have this issue.

Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

I am using the original xbox one model

Yes the controller will randomly disconnect by itself. It also turned off when I plugged in one of my headsets.

The controller I mentioned is the normal xbox series controller.

Yes I updated the controller and the problem still continues.
