Xbox Series X controller randomly disconnects on me

Hello all

Looking for some support/advise here.

I purchased an Xbox Series X console a couple months ago. it was going great for the first couple months. Now, randomly, every 3-4 days of gaming, my controller will randomly disconnect from the console. The controller will become unresponsive, the white light remains on. after this happens the console will say the controller is disconnected, followed by the white light on the controller starting to blink. i then have to repair the two. Not sure what to do here. I heard there were issues with the controller disconnecting, not sure if this is still ongoing or not. So far I have done below to troubleshoot:

- Moved console further away from wifi router

- Rebooted console and controller

- ensured clear line of sight between controller and console. Distance between two only 4 feet.

- Bought second xbox controller (2020 model). same issue

- Ensured both console and controller have latest OS and firmware

i dont want to have to send the console away for warranty but will if I have to. Any help would be amazing. Thanks again.

Please access Xbox Support to troubleshoot your controller. If you find that this is happening with all the controllers you try on the console, then it's definitely an issues in the console itself, in which case you will have to repair it. Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

Alright. Please keep this in case you need it Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings > System > Console info > reset then keep my games and apps.

It's worth a shot though but to best isolate the issue, have you tried any other controller? I asked because if it happens to other controller, I'm afraid the console needs a service.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged in to the console right now? Or any other wireless devices that is attached or near your console?
