Xbox Series X controller only charging halfway with plug and play battery

Hey everyone. Some help would be greatly appreciated. I have an issue with my xbox series x controller which involves the battery I got weeks after the actual console itself (I got the console 1-3 months ago) and yesterday it started not always vibrating when I plugged the charger in, and when it does charge on a brick it only charges halfway, shortly dying after.. unless I keep it plugged in. When I plug it into the front of the console in the usb port, it just displays a lightning battery symbol that has no "filling up" animation so to speak.. I use a usb-c cable to charge that is provided with the xbox plug n play rechargeable battery, and sometimes another usb-c cable I had spare which is practically the same as far as I know

Admittedly, I have been doing stuff I probably shouldn't do like charging it with a big brick meant for higher wattage devices and at some point I got super tired and probably knocked it off my bed as I fell asleep, but for the most part I have been taking care of it well like putting away and disconnecting the headset and hanging it up on my monitor.. When I took a look at the actual pins n what not, there is maybe 1-2 slightly bent pins but as far as I can tell that shouldn't affect function, as there is contact anyways due to the pushing against the connecting parts. Just in case you need to know when problems started popping up, it happened a day or two ago, just all of a sudden..

I have updated the firmware to no avail, used different bricks (ones that are safe of course) same with the different usb-c cables, to no avail, letting it fully uncharge before charging it again, over night, but it always doesn't gain any charge when I plug it in while I'm playing and if I'm not using it, it is limited to just halfway, again, shortly dying after..

I don't know if it is a port issue on the actual controller, some of the charging cables (all usb-c) don't quite snap in, some do. The controller pretty much always charges (unless it is being used while charging, basically keeping it on life-support) and if it does charge, like mentioned before, it only charges halfway. I've tried looking at other people's posts, but I feel like I can't get an answer that is fully tailored to my issue, so hence, I am asking here. Thank you very much everyone.
