Xbox Series X Controller not working fully on Windows 11

Basically my Xbox X controller the share button isn't working anymore since I updated to Windows 11. I noticed it yesterday when in Steam (I'd previously configured the share button to take Steam Screenshots using F12 as a custom assignment and it worked great). However, I was in No Mans Sky yesterday and I noticed it wasn't working (even though it was fine prior to the upgrade to Win 11).

I figured maybe I'd need to go to the Xbox Accessories App and reconfigure that however when I try it brings up the following message: -

I'm already logged into my Xbox account, but clicking on install identity provider just takes me to a page to get an App:

I ask it to get, but there's no Download option for Win 11, it just takes me to this Microsoft Store Page with no option to download or so anything: -

Even if I can't configure it I'm able to hit cancel and get into Test mode, but albeit all the other keys and buttons work, the Share Button doesn't elicit a response which makes me think that the Win 11 System is seeing the controller as an Xbox One rather than an Xbox Series X. Which is why Steam does see it either as an Xbox X. Albeit perhaps the controller is busted...it's relatively new (I had it less and a month) but it worked fine up until the Win 11 update.

Also, I'm using it with the USB-C cable.

they have enable the share button in windows 11, trying to get that working and ill let you know.

as you have upgraded os you will need to reinstall the steam extended xbox config as it installs a driver for extended support.

go to steam settings

make sure the xbox configuration support is enabled then tick the extended, it will want to restart

once pc restarted you will be able to use the share button for screenshots

if already enabled then disable restart and enable again and restart again.

you also do not need to install xbox identity provider.

OK thanks. I managed to get it set up for Steam fully at least. I went to Steam Settings>Controller>Desktop Configuration and was able to assign it in there and that seems to work.

Have you tried going back to W10 Kadayi?
