Xbox Series X Controller - D-Pad PressurePoints & click non uniform

    Hi there,

I am pretty new to Xbox World and recently got myself a Xbox Series X. Pretty happy so far.

But the Controllers´ D-Pad is giving my a hard time. Not only every Direction has a different click-sound to it, but also the "Pressure Points" are very "non uniform". E.g. Pressing D-Pad upwards has a pretty defined Pressure Point sounding pretty high pitched, almost metallic. In contrast to downwards has almost no Pressure Point at all, sounding pretty dull. ... that's totally annoying.

Therefor bought a second Controller. The D-Pad was even worse. Albeit left and right felt very differently, i had very different pressure points on the LB and RB Button...

Coming from the Playstation side, this is something in never experienced on the Controllers that i owned so far.

Is this something within Microsofts Production tolerance and kind of "normal" behaviour of their Controllers?

Or would you rather say that i was pretty unlucky and both controller are defective?

    Thank you in advance.

    :)

    Xbox one controller

The Xbox Series X controllers will work on Xbox One consoles, and the Xbox One controllers (including the Elite/Elite V2) will work on Xbox Series X too.

This is a link to an external site which
confirms the backwards and forwards compatibility for controllers.

This works as of so far. Go to console settings, then go to system info.

Do this series of keys to reset it.

    Left trigger, right trigger

    X,Y

    Left bumper, right bumper

    X, X

Up on d-pad, down on d-pad

    Hope this works

Microsoft released a new Xbox controller when they launch the Series X/S

The new design has a new D-Pad (is similar in design to the elite series 1 D-pad), as you said, a new USB-C port due to it's more common to see USB-C cables now

and the share button is a new addition to it.

Xbox One S controllers are known as third generation controllers

Xbox Series X/S controllers are known as fourth generation controllers

Microsoft Says Xbox One S Has the Best Controller Ever Made!

While scrolling through games/apps/etc. Does the D-Pad on the x1s controller often scroll 3 spaces with each click like the x1 (origional.. not the slim) D-Pad does?
