    Xbox series X controller Bluetooth issue on android and PC platforms


    After updating my controller to the newest firmware it no longer pairs to any android device or PC which has a bluetooth 4.0 adapter, the device is able to be seen on both but refuse to pair no matter what, I have two controllers and the issue is effecting both, from research over the past week Ive concluded it's to do with Bluetooth LE, has anyone found a fix especially for android as thats where most of my time spent streaming is. I'm going to be quite annoyed if my beloved controller is now a paper weight on anything but xbox or if the only solution is to get a new android since finding a xbone s controller that has bluetooth but not the BLE update is getting very hard.

    How did you connect it? Threw USB or Bluetooth? My Series X Controller worked flawlessly with bluetooth. Also what mobile device are you useing? It works on both my Android phone and tablet.

    it uses wifi that the xbox has a receiver and sender for, similar to the microsoft pc wireless adapter but obviously built into the console.

    no bluetooth at all. there is not a single bluetooth chip in the console, the modern xbox controller connect via wifi to the console or bluetooth to phones and pc if not using the adapter for pc. only the controller has bluetooth and this is basic at best.

    No Bluetooth for Xbox Series X

    The Xbox Series X doesn't have Bluetooth, similarly to the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. The reason is simple; the Bluetooth signal isn't strong enough to meet Microsoft's specifications for latency. Microsoft uses its proprietary signal, dubbed Xbox Wireless, for connecting controllers and other accessories, like the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 and the SteelSeries 9X wireless headsets.

    Microsoft's signal is far stronger than Bluetooth. Since many people typically game while sitting far away from their consoles in the living room or so on, Bluetooth's susceptibility to interference increases exponentially at longer ranges. If you were hoping you could use a USB Bluetooth adapter, it wouldn't work either, as the Xbox Series X and other Xbox One consoles don't have the drivers necessary to power them.

    Hi Eddie. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Believe me, if I were on your situation, I would feel the same way.

    Unfortunately, the MOGA XP5-X Plus is a bluetooth controller for mobile & cloud gaming for Android/PC only that works on bluetooth or USB connection. It doesn't really work on Xbox consoles for cloud gaming.

    Have you tried playing cloud gaming on PC or Android if your controller works fine?
