Xbox Series X controller/app not usable on PC

Thank you for your post. I understand you have some questions on the compatibility of Rockband and Guitar Hero controllers with the Xbox Series X/S. Currently there is no information regarding the compatibility of these controllers, it is only known that
the Xbox Series X/S will support controllers that are usable with the Xbox One.

The Series S and X controllers work on same devices the earlier controller can connect to. This includes:

Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)

Xbox One, One S, X and Series X/S.

standard xbox one controllers have been replaced with the series s/x controllers that work with all xbox one consoles and the new series s and x and even pc. they are readily in stock all over the uk, try argos.

Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X controllers work on Xbox Series X|S, and vice versa. However, Xbox 360 is on it's own, similar to the OG Xbox.

What's cool however is if you remote stream Xbox One, One S, One X, Series S, or Series X on, say, a PC, you can plug in a 360 controller and use it on the newer generation.

But no, newer controllers aren't supported on 360.

It can't be used on both systems. The Xbox One/Series X|S Formatting is not compatible with PC, your PC won't even see it as a usable drive when you connect it normally.

To use the drive on a PC would require formatting it via Windows Disk Management (the only Windows tool that will see the drive). This would erase the Xbox formatting and thus all the downloaded games.
