    Am I having problems with my Xbox series x or what?

    Everyone says that it works quietly and you can't hear it, my console is in a small room about 5 by 5 meters and I sit at a distance of 2 meters and the fans are slightly audible.

    I can hear it. Sounds to me like the fan pulling the air through the case. Neither video (at least from what I can hear) seems to have anything mechanically wrong. I'd say you're okay.

    How loud is your power brick?

    There's been a constant buzzing noise on my brick. Not a loud one, just something you'll hear if you're next to it with no TV/radio on. It's apparently normal and several people report the same. After all, there is power in it when it's on insta on mode
    and there is a fan keeping it cool or so I've heard. If it's actually loud then you should contact support but slight background noise is normal for it.

    I'd imagine the noises it would normally make are probably a hum from the fan or coil whine (maybe).

    I have noticed a similar noise from mine, but I just assume it's a normal 'hum' from the device.

    There are two version of hard disc drive for xbox one the old version and the hybrid version. The hybrid version makes less noise and is faster maybe this is what causes your friends to think differently of the humming noise you hear.

    Again in my opinion that noise is quite normal.
