    Xbox Series X Capping out at 240mbps


    Im running into an issue where my series X is capping out at 240mbps during downloads while I have 1 Gig Verizon Fios. When I run a speed test on the Series X I can get around 300mbps.

    Regular speed tests via my PC (hardwired) or Smartphone can pull 800-1,000mbps no problem.

    Here's my setup:

    Series X connected via Cat 5e to Asus AX88U on Port 1. Asus AX88U connected via Cat5e wired backhaul for AiMesh to Asus AX1100. Not using the Fios Router.

    QOS Turned off. AiProtection is enabled.

    Series X using instant on.

    Internal Drive set to default download location.

    No games are 'open'.

    NAT Open.

    The PC thats hardwired and pulling 800-1000mbps is connected the same way, but on Port 2.

    Any ideas why I can't pull faster download speeds? I saw somewhere the NIC on the series X caps out at 300mbps but ive seen other users post screenshots of them getting 800-1000mbps.

    Any guidance appreciated.

    I am seeing the same cap. all of my other wired devices get 600 down but the Xbox Series X (also wired) maxes out around 260.

    Sustained speeds for game downloads stick around 160.. this is with all other apps and games closed...

    Hi Joe.

    It will work with a 144hz monitor but you won't be getting full use out of it due to the fact that games are capped at 60FPS on consoles. However, if you are also planning on getting Series X in the near future, it would be good for that too.
