Xbox series X can’t sign in

I just reset my console from the setting while also backing up my games and app data, so I was told to go onto the Xbox app and put in the code on the tv which I did, but now for some reason I can’t even get to the account selection screen to choose a profile. When I load up my Xbox I get a message saying ‘we thought this Xbox needed an update’ and then it goes straight to a grey screen with nothing but a loading symbol

I have almost the same problem except the error message says

“if you’re using Xbox series X/S, note that HDMI audio can’t be turned off. In other consoles, either optical or HDMI audio must be on. (0x80bd0009)

Why can’t I turn off hdmi audio on Xbox series x it makes no sense?

If the issue started happening today, I just want to let you know, that an outage is happening right know with Xbox live services, and it's affecting some content and apps

Could be good try checking the if you're able to download/play the game when everything's up and running.

I'm going to share you some things to try when everything get back to normal:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Also, disconnect your router from power for about the same time, and once you connect it and everything's up and running, try again
