    I just got my series x and have had problems from the moment I plugged it in and turned it on. It would give me an error every time I tried doing the initial update, eventually leading me to have to format a stick and do an offline update. Now, when I boot
    up the series x, it shows the "who is playing?" screen, and has the options "add new" and "skip sign in". I select "add new" and it just hangs, with a circle going around and around, then it eventually drops back to the dashboard. Every attempt from every
    area that I can select to "add new" gives me the same result. I simply cannot log in with my user name and password. I have tried a hard reset on the series x, unplugging and plugging in my router, nothing helps.

    I am on a wireless internet connection, and when testing the network, it says I am connected to the internet. Hard wiring the series x to the router isn't a possibility because I am in a building disconnected from where the router is and I'd have to get
    an ethernet cable long enough to run from inside the main building, outside, across the ground and into the building I am in. Can anyone give me any suggestions, solutions, work-arounds or advice? I currently have a 500+ dollar paperweight on my desk and I'm
    at my wits end. Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Same. My friend has both and Xbox gamertag (on Series X) and a PC. Owns both versions. I'm on Series X and we can't play unless he's on Xbox. Can't add his Origin ID to my EA friends. Not sure what to do.

    DLC and add-ons are linked to your account so as long as you can play the games on the new Xbox one series x then it shouldn't be a problem. Xbox had said that the Series X will be backward compatible so it is great!

    Xbox Series X/S games "not playable on this device" on brand new Xbox One X

    I just bought a brand new Xbox One X, but when I go to the store, Flight Simulator and other Xbox Series X/S games say they are "not playable on this device" and I can't get Flight Simulator to install on my brand new Xbox One X because it says it's "not compatible". Very frustrating.
    So you bought an Xbox One X and expected to be able to play an Xbox Series X game on it?

    Why would a game made for an Xbox Series X work on an Xbox One X?

    If you want to play Xbox Series X/S games I would take your brand new Xbox One X back to the store you bought it and see if they will take it back and you could try and buy an Xbox Series S (Series X consoles are very hard to find, but a Series S can be found fairly easilly)
