Xbox Series X broken and can't contact customer services

My brand new Xbox Series X crashed after about 2 weeks whilst playing No Man's Sky. Since then I have not been able to play any game without it crashing back to the home screen or completely powering down as soon as the game starts.

The console is and has always been in a well ventilated area with plenty of space around it.

I have tried every troubleshooting step including power cycling, soft console reset, full console reset, switching profiles, setting it as my home console, playing offline and a number of other suggestions I have seen on various forums and websites - I even tried putting the console on it's side. The problem persists and I am assuming now that it is a hardware problem.

So now I move on to trying to contact Microsoft to talk about my warranty, but I always end up routing to their virtual help bot to request a call, which always then says "Something went wrong at our end. We’re working on it." This has happened every time I try to contact them over several days.

So I have these dual problems: a brand new broken console and a brick wall when I try to contact Microsoft.

Any advice on these would be gratefully received.
