XBOX SERIES X Bluetooth mapping wrong

For example I have tried WRC 10 in windows 11. Over USB C everything is fine and works, but when I turn on Bluetooth then I cant even change options inside game. When I try to have a race no mapping even provides throttle for the car to move forward. The mapping seems correct in the menu and works fine with usb C enabled ,but I did not buy 2 controllers to be ALWAYS CONNTECTED VIA WIRE IF THEY ARE WIRELESS!

Please provide a fix for this. I have tried generic 6 eur wireless controllers and thet actually work and are not trash like these paperweight XBOX controllers.

I have tried updating windows.

I have tried other games and many have different problems with controllers.

I updated both controller firmware and they are up to date as of today. This probably only fixed disconnecting problem.

These are connected over bluetooth and no I am not going to buy another bluetooth dongle etc. because the pc is already new from 2022 and has a new chip in it not some chinese knockoff. Laptop is msi gf66 katana, so the MSI branding shoudl be fine and works well with other bluetooth devices.

Please provide instructions to proper driver installation so I can get right drivers for the bluetotoh to work. Xbox accessories app apparently install bad drivers.

Or provide me with instructions on which buttons I should change to which to fix the mapping problem on both my series X controllers for bluetooth usage. I see that i can remap a button, but I have no idea which button works as which. Only thing I know is that they are messed up over bluetooth!

EDIT:

I have also disconnected, turned off, repaired bluetooth multiple times before and AFTER UPDATE. Both controllers are still working wrong.

What window version are you using? - WINVER
Try to troubleshoot Gamer Service - (Windows 10)

. Open Settings.

2. Go to Apps -> Apps & features.

3. Look for Microsoft Store/Xbox App and click it on the right side.

4. The advanced options link will appear. Click it

5. Next, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store/Xbox App to the default setting.

Try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device:

1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

3. Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC and try again.

Just for future reference who ever else finds this problem. I messed around with some steam configurations, but these probably didnt do anything ad WRC10 I tried is not from steam. Steam still identifies these controllers as xbox one and not series X controllers.

As Geri stated one step was update and I updated everything on my windows 11. It might have been optional bluetooth update or windows upgrade. Still this should not be this complicated that I have to find out some optional updates and the controllers wont even popup anything telling that the drivers are wrong or outdated.

I havent tested out any other games yet, but for wrc 10 they work.

it uses wifi that the xbox has a receiver and sender for, similar to the microsoft pc wireless adapter but obviously built into the console.

no bluetooth at all. there is not a single bluetooth chip in the console, the modern xbox controller connect via wifi to the console or bluetooth to phones and pc if not using the adapter for pc. only the controller has bluetooth and this is basic at best.
