Xbox Series X - Black screen while sound is still playing

Hi,

My Xbox Series X has a problem.

When I play movies or watch series from Netflix or Disney+, I get a black screen where only the sound remains.

It seems like it is a problem with HDR and a handshake issue, but I'm not sure. I never had these issues on my Xbox One X.

The image is completely black and it doesn't help to pause and resume, sometimes it works when I turn off the console and restart the app again.

It's not only through the apps that this can happen, but it also happens when playing games. The image turns black and the screen flashes for a second while sound is till playing in the background. It resumes almost right away but it's annoying and definitely not okay.

I've checked multiple HDMI-ports, tried different settings and everything is updated. I also did a factory reset but the problem is still there.
It could be my LG TV, it's an older 4k HDR TV but it works as I said on my Xbox One X.

- Do you have any solutions for my problem? Could it be a hardware issue on the Series X?

You know what? After doing what you suggested, I have definitely seen an improvement in the amount of time it's happened. It used to be daily, now, I think it's been at least a week since it's done it.

Hi i all so turned off the amd sync option also 🤞

I have an LG CX, tried a new HDMI port, then a new cord then power cycle etc. My fix was with the tv. Originally I turned off instant game mode.. annoying pop up for LG would come up every time so I simply turned it off... This changed how the tv received the data to the Xbox in way that causes the issue.. if you turned off instant game mode try turning it back on.

Same issue here bought a bluray disk was so excited to watch it on my Lg C1 using my Xbox series X! 20 minutes into the movie black screen with sound and nothing I do fixes it unless I disable the 24 hz mode which puts the colour down to 8 bit this is absolutely unacceptable why has this not been fixed yet?

I purchased this console because it had a bluray player now I’m thinking of returning it!
