    Xbox Series X back compatible games fails to download xbox 360 profile


    Hi Everyone

    I have an issue that has come up but haven't found any real fixes for.

    Every time I load a xbox 360 game on my Series X, I cant seem to download an xbox 360 profile.

    I get a popup that tries to test the internet connection, then after a while it fails to connect and tells me to test my internet.

    I have tried:

    * clearing the 360 cache

    * uninstal reinstal games

    * tried a bunch of 360 games

    NAT is open and there doesn't seem to be any issues with my internet.

    is there a work around for downloading the xbox 360 profile somewhere else, maybe through usb? I have a friend where his profile works fine on his series X. And about 2 weeks ago i was playing 360 games on my XOneX just fine. It just seems like the series
    X has trouble connecting.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    All Microsoft Xbox accounts have an Xbox 360 profile that can be downloaded to either a real Xbox 360 console or to the Xbox 360 emulated dashboard on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Even if you made a new account now, it would still have a 360 profile.

    When you run a backwards compatible 360 game on your Series X for the first time, you will be asked to enter your email address and password. This is so the 360 profile can be downloaded. It does this because that is how the Xbox 360 does things.

    If you own a digital copy of Resident Evil 4 on Xbox 360, it should be available to download and play on your Xbox Series X because it is listed as a backward compatible game.
    It's not backwards compatible. The Xbox One port of the game works on the Series X, but the 360 version is not playable on the Xbox One or Series X|S.

    Bring Gotham City Imposters to Backward Compatibility

    The backwards compatibility team is working on the Series X so there won't be anymore games from the 360/original Xbox made back compatible until after the Series X launch.

    That said, I would love to see Gotham City Impostors made playable on the Series X. That game was so much fun!

    would be able to play any OG Xbox, Xbox 360 or Xbox One title available, even if it's not on the current

    Xbox One back-compat list    . If that rumor is true, that would mean that any such game would work natively, as if Series X was that console.

    Microsoft please make concrete jungle backwards compatible to the Xbox one

    they have currently stopped all backwards compatability to focus on the xbox series x as i believe they are making all xbox one 360 and original games compatible on series x
