    Xbox Series X auto HDR


    The auto HDR was working perfectly fine since I've been playing on the Series X. Then I started up a game and right before it entered the auto HDR mode I opened the menu and then something happened to cause the brightness of the screen to dim by a lot. My TV is a TCL series 5, 50'' QLED and I tried resetting the tv settings and the Xbox to try to fix it but nothing's changing. I also turned the auto HDR off and on but it's the same and all the games I try are affected. Thank you to all who take their time to answer this question.

    Auto HDR is supported by Xbox Series X|S consoles only

    RDR2 never received a Series upgrade. The Series Snis playing the base Xbox One version. To access the One X version you would need a Series X

    You should disable auto HDR on the console if it’s not playing well, and make sure to do the same on your TV. That’s the fake HDR where the tv guesses not the real thing.

    It’s also possible the two are clashing
