    Xbox Series X Audio-Out USB

Will there be any support for Audio-Out on the USB Port's of the xbox series x?

I have the Hifiman Sundara's and the xbox controller is not sufficient to power these, nor is the amp/dac quality any good on the controller. When I plug in a DAC/AMP to the USB port on the series X, nothing happens.

Why would Microsoft not allow this? Seems absolutely stupid to not allow users to use their own DAC's as almost every gaming headphone on the market is sub-par sound quality.

Will there be future support for generic audio-out?

If not, could someone at microsoft explain why not?

    :)

Will XBox Series X support external DAC/Amp hardware via USB?

There are multiple articles stating audio compatibility via USB. If optical is necessary, there are various HDMI to optical devices available which you may need to add.

    https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/09/02/designed-for-xbox-new-look-continuous-compatibility/

"Some gaming headsets that utilize an optical cable may require a firmware update to support game and chat audio over USB on Xbox Series X. Soundbars and headsets that do not receive updates may be connected
directly to your televisions optical port."

Only devices specifically marked with Xbox compatibility will work. Accessory makers are requireed to pay royalties, and driver support must exist on a system level for each device.

Get yourself a decent receiver and open up all kinds of audio possibilities on many platforms, HDMI works perfectly fine for hi-res audio, and instill dont understand why DAC makers didn’t have it standard a decade ago. Passthrough, split and repeater devices
are common, i own several. You can also get HDMI-optical splitter devices on Amazon

    Xbox Series X type-c port?

On the video, Xbox Series X has USB type A only.

The new controller, I think is type-A (Xbox Series X) to type-c (controller). (Elite2 is a to c usb)

How to connect usb microphones let's sing to xbox x series

Hello, JessicaB87 my name is Oskayra I am independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

The Xbox Series X does have only one USB port on the front, which can be limiting when connecting multiple USB devices. However, there are a couple of ways to connect two USB microphones for Let's Sing 2023 on your Xbox Series X.

    Option 1: USB Hub

The most straightforward solution is to use a USB hub. A USB hub is a device that allows you to connect multiple USB devices to a single USB port. You can connect the two USB microphones to the USB hub, and then plug the USB hub into the Xbox Series X's front USB port.

    Option 2: USB Adapter

If you don't have a USB hub, you can use a USB adapter. A USB adapter is a device that allows you to connect a USB device to a different type of port, such as an audio jack or a microphone jack. You can connect one of the USB microphones to the Xbox Series X's controller using an adapter, and then connect the other microphone to the front USB port.

    Which option is better?

The better option for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences. A USB hub is the more versatile option, as it will allow you to connect more USB devices in the future. However, a USB adapter is a more affordable option, and it will be smaller and more portable.

I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or need additional clarification.
