XBOX SERIES X 4K HDR AUDIO

    Hello everyone!

1 problem (video): I have an xbox series x connected to a projector that supports 4k 24hz-60hz but does not activate the deepcolor and hdr bt2020, neither in games, nor in movies on media player or vlc (in the official microsoft media player lacks hevc codec support). The projector supports deepcolor 444 8-bit or 422 12-bit 24-hz, and 420 8-bit 60hz. In both cases with a multimedia decoder I activate hdr bt2020 automatically with a remarkable yield, and the aforementioned color profiles. The xbox series x does not do this by enabling 422, nor by allowing hdr10, nor by selecting autohdr.

2 problem (audio): automatically override recognizes 4k at 60hz with color profile 8bit 420, leaving everything like this, without changing overrides in the manual, selecting bitstream audio to obtain the digital ac3 dolby or digital dts from av receiver error not being able to take advantage of the 5.1 but only uncompressed stereo or mandatory headphones. If I set override manual by putting 1440p resolution at 60 hz it makes me select bitstream by octending dolby or dts audio but no 4k. Going to set allow 4k, and putting 4kuhd tells me that my projector does not support such resolution, result, I can not take advantage of the bitstream other than at 1440p 60hz. To say that I took a series x to play in 4k hdr and maybe even with compressed dolby digital or dts bitstream audio. Has anyone detected such issues, solved them, or do they know if there are any updates coming to resolve these issues? Thank you very much. I hope this debate will help everyone who has a similar situation and who urges Microsoft to fix these shortcomings.

    :)

White Flickers while watching movies/streaming? 4k UHD 60hz monitor no HDR

I had the same / similar issue with my old 4K 60hz none HDR / HDMI 2.0 monitor when watching movies and some times in games with the Series X,

As soon as i upgraded my monitor to a 4K 144hz monitor that has HDR / HDMI 2.1 ports, i no longer had this problem,

I'm not sure what the problem is, but my guess is that the HDMI 2.1 port on Series X doesn't play well with HDMI 2.0 port of monitors, or it's the Series X trying to force HDR on, even if the monitor does not have / support HDR and the HDR in Series X menu's is turned off.

Xbox Series X 4K HDR blu-ray to SDR bug

Since my TV does not support HDR, I cannot activate it and it is disabled by default.

As I really like Interstellar, it was offered to me in 4k without knowing that I do not have a 4k TV.

What I mean is Xbox series X has a very dark image with HDR blu-ray. But when I watch HDR blu-ray on my PS5 I have no problem.

I think Xbox series x is not converting HDR to SDR correctly but that the ps5 yes.

On the other hand, blu-ray 4k comes out very well on a 1080p TV.

    4K/1440p HDR

Microsoft locked hdr to 4k so if ur monitor dont accept 4k signals ( tick allow 4k box in settings must be selected for hdr) it doesnt work on 1080p 1440p displays usually only if they accept 4k signals. Because microsoft locked it since xbox one s and
one x. It is hard to understand why they not allow it now because they have xbox series s 1440p 120hz hdr console right?

Series X.... what TV we going with?

I have my current Xbox One X connected to a 4k monitor, ALthough it does not have HDR so I might upgrade before the Series X comes out.
