Xbox Series X , 3 years extended warranty with accidental damage

Hi all

Just been onto Microsoft to try and get 3 year extended warranty with accidental damage for £39 .

Now they say ( after waiting 30 mins on phone ) they cannot do this as i did not buy from Microsoft ...but when i pre ordered Microsoft gave links to 3rd part sellers as you could not buy the series x direct from them.

Now surely this is not right ...offer extended warranty on series x when you cannot buy console from them ???

Surely they should offer this if you have bought from a seller on there list ?

By the way ...i bought from Amazon.
