  1. Xbox Series S/X support for 1440p 144hz monitors

I just bought a 1440p display that supports 144hz over HDMI 2.0, unfortunately my One X doesn't appear to like this monitor, now I'm stuck with either 1080p@120hz or 1440p@60hz. More on this issue in this thread.

I'm curious now whether the Series X, which I'm planning to upgrade to will support 120hz @ 1440p no matter what or whether I would be better advised to get one of the few monitors that actually works on current gen. tia!

    Xbox Series X doesn't support 1440p@120Hz with 1440p@144Hz monitor

Until you don't proof me this specific monitor (Xiaomi Mi Curved 34) enables 1440p@120hz with Xbox Series X, your comment is meaningless.

Yeah, there are some monitors with 1440p@120hz support for Xbox series s/x, that simply doesn't mean that ANY 1440p+ monitor with 120hz+ (especially 144hz+) can do it. Period.

I've tried everything, that (1440p@120hz) simply doesn't work with that monitor. I've already listed every step I've tried, I'm not gonna write it again.

    Xbox Series X - 1440p?

    Hi,

The maximum supported resolution of Series S will be 1440P. Series X just like the Xbox One X before it will support 1440P too.

It will work on your monitor, don't worry.

My Xbox series S won't run at 1440p 120fps even if my monitor says it can.

    Hi guys,

    The title says it all

    I have a Koorui 27'' incurved Gaming monitor that does 1440p and 144hz 1ms AMD Freesync, DCI-P3 85% hdmi 2.0

Any help is appriciated and thank you in advance.
    Hello, This is Elijah.

The Xbox Series S will not support games at 4K at 144fps, the Series S will also not run 1440p at 144fps as well. The Xbox Series S will only run 1440p at 120fps. I would also suggest using a different HDMI cable than what came with the Series S. The Xbox Series X will run 1440p at 144fps, also 4k. But limiting 8k to 60FPS.

Thank you for choosing Xbox as your gaming Platform.

Why won’t my monitor run 1440p 120hz on Xbox Series X?

According to the website specs on the monitor, it can run up to 1440p at 144hz using the hdmi cord it provided, which is the one I’m trying to use with my Xbox series x
