Xbox series s/x ssd compared to 3rd party hd,S/ssd,s

Is there enough info/specs out on the series s/x ssd that some smart folks have done some theoretical/factual comparisons to 3rd party HD,s/SSD,s. Unfortunately my old 1tb seagate 5400 plugged
into xboxone x. Getting cranky so was looking at the grabbing the WD black 2tb 7200 performance. (Well Under 100$ atm) then starting thinking about being on the pre order train for series x i should think about (maybe) getting, not on par but in the same
ballpark. And grab 1tb ssd instead for around same price. Between planed series x and cashing out new tv on friday. Not even considering 250÷ for extra prioritized storage. If someone can link to some info OR has it themselves I'd be interested. My google
    search came up empty

    :)

Hmm interesting. If reading this correct. Atm no intension of selling xbox x. With the new S,s selling for 300 all I'd pay is 200. Both being 1tb storage thinking that enough for my needs just split this gen next gen games accordingly. Being a PC gamer.
Xbox x is my 1rst console. I haven't put any thought into the dynamics of having 2 on same network. Tho have thought just plain silly to have/play 2 boxs.being the reason looking at comparable,.ish external storage for S,x to play all 1 box without a huge
gap in storage speeds.. see how pre order pans out and the prices of prioritized storage

Well you csn technically store games on other nvme or ssd drives externally but they gotta be moved bacj to expansion offical seagate drive or intternal since the x series games relies on the super fast nvme

But only bc titles from one and older can run from external

You can store games on USB connected storage samw as Xbox One. If your current Xbox is still on the network you can likely also use that for storage. If you are running XsX/S games they must be on the internal or official expansion SSD. Any Xbox One titles
will still run from the external drive.

    Because there isnt.one

    One its nvme m2 veloicity

And only the seagate nvme card is x series compatible

Anything else is cant be uses for opitimized games for x series

    Just like rhe ps5

The differenxe being the ps5 controller is probably be really expensive since its 3xfaster then anything kn the market even though you could use a pc one but noone seen the controller that fast

I tuned out awhile ago with xbox updates. With peeps thinking series S will be free and series X will be 800 and everything in between. Now that we have prices. S,s 300$ + estimated 250$ for storage = A 550$ 1tb, ish xbox makes the big brother S,x
a no brainer for me. Still need atleast a extra 1tb of space to avoid unistalling. Hopeing to avoid having a huge discrepancy in storage speeds. Since thats not really an option. Ill hold for actual pricing on official ssd,s. Size being the real issue. 250$
for 1tb ill assume. 500g impossible, wishful thinking a 2tb for 250 then iam back in the race. Still got few months so ill hold. Even out of the gate at 250 they will be 200 in no time. Assuming
