  1. Xbox Series S won't support 2K 120hz with 2.0 cable even though monitor supports up to 2K 144hz

I recently saw at Microsoft forums a post and it seems the guy is saying that he has a 2K 144hz monitor and XBOX SERIES S will only let him switch between 2k60hz or 1080p 120hz. Witch is really odd considering the SS is targeting 2k 120hz. Also the hdmi 2.0 cable supports these rates (1440p 120hz).

    This is what he said:

Sad news, hooked up the series s to a 1440p 144hz monitor that has HDMI 2.0 and sadly its only 1080p at 120hz or 1440p at 60hz. You'll need a monitor/tv that has an HDMI 2.1 port to be able to have that 1440p at 120hz. Bummer, HDMI 2.0 supports those rates but its locked in the console itself.. Hope this helps!
