  1. Xbox series s wireless headset connected but no audio

I recently bought the PDPLvl 50 wireless headset. I can not seem to access the audio and music menu as it is all grey. I’ve gone into settings and turned the general volume and output to stereo uncompressed, I’ve updated my controller, I’ve hard reset the headset. The headset makes the sound to let me know it is paired to the usb dongle I have in the usb output on my Xbox. The headset is charged. When I plug in my old wired headset it allows me to access the audio and music menu, but for some reason the wireless headset will not let me access this even though it’s making the sound to tell me it’s paired. In the top right corner I can not see the headset icon that I can usually see with my wired headset, and instead see the icon of the microphone with a line through it. I’ve gone into the devices and connections menu in the settings and the headset is not there, although when I plug the dongle into the usb output it comes up as a notification that a headset has been connected, and allows me to assign my account to the headset. Please help I just wanna play dead by daylight and yes the headset is on and charged. Helpppppp

    :)

Crackling popping and snapping in headsets when using xbox

Hello Payton L, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

If you're experiencing crackling, popping, or snapping sounds in your headsets when using your Xbox Series S, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Ensure that the headset is properly connected to the Xbox controller. Make sure the headset cable is securely plugged into the controller and that there are no loose connections.

    2. Outdated controller firmware can sometimes cause audio issues. Connect your Xbox controller to your Xbox Series S using a USB cable and check for any available controller firmware updates. You can do this by navigating to the "Settings" menu, selecting "Devices & connections," and choosing "Accessories." Then, select your controller and look for any available firmware updates.

    3. Try restarting your Xbox Series S to refresh the system and potentially resolve any temporary issues. Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller to open the power menu, then select "Restart console." After the console restarts, check if the audio issues persist.

    4. Navigate to the Xbox Series S settings and make sure the audio settings are properly configured. Go to the "Settings" menu, select "General," then choose "Volume & audio output." Check the audio settings, including the volume levels, chat mixer, and spatial audio settings. You can try adjusting these settings to see if it improves the audio quality.

    5. If possible, try using a different Xbox controller and see if the audio issues persist. This can help determine if the problem is specific to the controller or if it's a broader issue with the Xbox Series S.

    6. Wireless interference can cause audio problems. Ensure that there are no wireless devices or other sources of interference near your Xbox Series S or the controller. Move away any devices that may be causing interference, such as routers, cordless phones, or other wireless devices.

I’m having the same issue but I’m using a Jabra Evolve2 85. Headset says connected and the USB dongle light is steady indicating the headset is connected but no audio. Did you ever figure out a fix?
