    Xbox series S storage problems


    For a start i judt wanted to say that iv bought every xbox thats cone out in the last 15 years or so and iv got to say that the series S is the worst ever i had xbox one x with external hard drive for 5 years that hard dtive worked plugged it in to series S acouple of weeks later it died i thought oh it must be old bought a new one and within 24 hours of first use on series S it kills hard drive completely because i had like 20 games in download que all xbox one games all installing on external but my friend says come on conan xs version download it to ur internal as soon as i treied to download it strsight away my hard drive died kept sayin installing stopped installing started over and over till it died and now u can even see it on a pc on disk management now im left with a useless xbox that has no memory cant install any games really all over 100 gb worst console ever dunno what i should do is it a fault with the xbox or do i risk paying another 100 pound on a external wichbi use on my old xboxes too gettin a joke i dont even play the console because u cant just fet on and pkay from ur library of games i pay for ultimate but whats the point i have a useless console bearly able to diwnload call of duty snd fifa on internal but want to charge me 200 quid for a seagate ssd when if i bought that i may as well of bought xbox series x takes the absolute p

    Ok did you put it in an internal memory or storage card or external usb drive

    If external that would be why

    You can only put it in an internal memory or storage card

    Now I'd you are saying you have a Xbox one S

    That isn't a series s

    Series consoles.are different and are not considered Xbox one nor is it part of the name

    Also any games.that are meant for the series consoles has to be on storage card or.internal memory

    Xbox one games works regardless of Xbox one s or og or one x

    And you can use any storage

    But for Xbox series consoles there is only s or x not one s/x

    And only games on optimized nvme or the Xbox nvme storage card will download the series version

    If you put it on external it would only download the Xbox one as you arent running thr optimized nvme

    Hi,

    Both Series X/S games and Xbox One games that been optimised (I'm British) for Series X/S must be installed on either the internal storage or the expansion card. They can not be run from a USB connected storage device. My optimised Series X/S Xbox One games
    were moved to my Expansion card during their update.

    Apparently you didn't read all the options you still have 512 gig and 2 tbs and 1tb

    Next gen storage is costly but trust me on the ps5 side it's about similar

    You don't need next gen storage for xbox one games only enhanced or series games
