Xbox Series S sometimes won't power on

Hello! First post on this forum, he!

So, I have been rocking my Series S for the past month and it's all cool. But something has been bugging me: sometimes, right after connecting my Xbox Series S to the power outlet, I click the power button and it lights up, but immediately turns off. Once
that happens, if I click it again, it boots normally.

I was wondering if my xbox has a problem or is this normal behaviour. Also, it doesn't happens always, just sometimes, but it seems kinda random and only happens right after I plugged it to the power outlet.

    Thanks!

    :)

Xbox series s won't power on

Hi, Sarah! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions.

    - Besides your TV/monitor, do you have any external devices plugged into your console's Expansion Card or USB ports?

    - Is your console plugged directly into one of the wall's outlets? Sometimes extension cords, power strips, or similar devices can cause this kind of problem.

    - Have you already tried leaving your console unplugged for a few minutes? 5 - 10 minutes should be enough for its internal power supply to reset.

    - Have you already tried this alternative boot-up method?

    • Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    • Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    • Press and hold the BIND button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.
    • Continue holding the BIND for 10-15 seconds.
    • Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND button after the second power-up tone.
    • The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Thank you! I'll be looking forward to your reply.
    Best regards.

Why Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has destroyed two of my hard drives with its updates

    You mean xbox one s

    Not series ?

Xbox series s isn't the same as xbox one s

Xbox one games are just xbox one games .

Series consoles have s or x requirements physical or digital plus the power difference

My Xbox Series S won’t turn on. It’s only 1.5 years old.

    Hi Courtney,

Try the recommended troubleshooting in this support article:

My Xbox console won't turn on | Xbox Support

Also try a different power cable if possible. Series X|S consoles use a standard figure 8 cable, the same one for the One X and One S models.

    Hope this helps.

Can my Xbox work in Pakistan without a converter at230V

Which Xbox do you have, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X or Xbox Series X or S? Not all of them are multi-voltage. The Xbox 360 and Xbox One will need either a power converter or a power supply for your region. As for the Xbox One S, Xbox One X and Series X or S, they are multi-voltage, and should work fine with the correct power cable.

The Microsoft Rewards application does not appear in the store on my xbox series S

Hello August J, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

Check the region and language settings. Make sure the region and language settings on your Xbox Series S are set correctly for your location. Sometimes apps may not be available in certain regions or may have different names in different languages. Check that your region and language settings are set correctly and then search for the app again in the store.

Also restart your Xbox Series S Sometimes restarting the console can fix temporary issues and make the app appear in the store again. Try turning off your Xbox Series S, unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, and then turning it back on. Then, search for the app in the store again.

    Best regards.
