xbox series s slow wifi speed have 100mbps but goes down to 5 mbps and disappears

I have owned my xbox series s for about 2 years now but in the last and today when I try to download or update a game the speed is really bad. My internet speed is 100mbps and I usually get 100mbps when downloading a game but recently it is either less than 5mbps or it just stops. Where it shows your internet speed when downloading a game it's blank and the game update makes no progress. When this happens I do a network diagnostics test and I get 100mbps but the update shows nothing. I am using a wireless connection i have tryed resetting the console restart clear mac address dns settings and then my wifi went from 5ghz to 2.4ghz after changing the altenative port setting set it back but wont change

We've seen many gamers having the same issue and this probably an issue with Xbox server which currently we are waiting for any announcement from official Xbox support. You may check your Xbox status in your area for any reported outages.

Connecting a 100Mbps NIC isn't going to slow your network down. My entire network is gigabit speed, with the exception of a 100Mbps NIC in my network printer and Xbox 360. I still get transfer speeds of over 100MB/s between PCs. 100Mbps is more than enough
for any HD stream.

Desktop(wired) - working fine, 30mbps down and 5 mbps up

HP Touchpad (wireless) - working fine, 11mbps to 25mbps down and 3.5 to 5mbps up

Xbox 360(wired) - slow connection, speed 2.4 to 4.1 mbps down and 2.1 to 4.4 mbps up

I’ve been noticing very slow download speeds on my Xbox Series S. I have a fibre network connection, and ran a speedtest showing around 950 MBps download and 950 MBps upload. When i download a game or app on Xbox, that number drops to around 50-100 MBps. It sometimes gets to 350-400, but it’s rare. Are the microsoft servers just slow?

Where did you perform the througput test? On your Xbox?
