    Xbox series s power outage

I recently bought an Xbox series s and today I was playing and had two power outages while my Xbox was plugged into an adapter I did not know what to do, if to un plug it or not. It still works. Would there be any damaging in the inside of it?

    :)

I left my room and left my Xbox running because I only left for about 1 minute. Whenever I came back my Xbox shut itself off and it won't turn back on

Hi,Jace! I'm Luis, a fellow Xbox Gamer . Thanks for reaching us out here.

Let´s first try resetting the power supply

Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One X, and Xbox One S have an internal power supply that works in all regions worldwide. If your console won't turn on, it may simply need a power reset. Often, power issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.

To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cord from the console.

    Wait 10 seconds.

Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the front of the console.

Also, was there any power outage that you know of when you left?

Is a sudden power outage harmful?

Hi, Сергей my name is Jhon, and will be a pleasure help you

A sudden power outage can be harmful to your Xbox Series X and the inserted disc, but the risk depends on several factors and the severity of the outage:

    For the Xbox Series X:

Short outage: A brief surge or blink in power without complete cut-off is unlikely to cause any damage.

Extended outage: Longer outages, especially if frequent, can increase the risk of data corruption, hardware damage, or loss of progress in your current game.

Hard drive vs. SSD: The SSD in the Series X is more resistant to corruption than traditional hard drives, but it's not immune.

Surge protection: Using a surge protector can significantly reduce the risk of damage from voltage spikes during power restoration.

    For the inserted disc:

Scratches: The sudden stoppage of the disc drive during a power outage can potentially scratch the disc.

Data corruption: In rare cases, sudden power loss while spinning can corrupt disc data, causing the game to become unplayable.

    Tips to minimize the risk:

Use a surge protector: This will help protect your console and disc from voltage spikes during power restoration.
Quick resume feature: Utilize the Quick Resume feature to minimize data loss in case of sudden outages.

Shut down properly: When possible, always shut down your Xbox properly before potential power outages.

Invest in a UPS: If power outages are frequent in your area, consider a Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to provide temporary power during outages, allowing you to shut down your console safely.

Why Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has destroyed two of my hard drives with its updates

    You mean xbox one s

    Not series ?

Xbox series s isn't the same as xbox one s

Xbox one games are just xbox one games .

Series consoles have s or x requirements physical or digital plus the power difference
