XBOX Series S Loud Noise

I just purchased my Xbox Series S a few days ago and no matter how I position it the fan is so loud. It is so loud my wife heard it in the next room and thought something was wrong. The problem is I was barely playing the game. The only 2 games I have on it are Halo Infinite and Alien Fireteam Elite. Once the console is on for 10-15 minutes the noise just gets so loud. The top of the console (black vent) gets pretty hot. In my mind best positioning was to have every vent unblocked. So I have it on horizontal on a stack of books so the bottom vent is free and clear, the sides vents are all clear, and obviously the top is clear. I've seen a lot of things on Youtube about the noise but my question is, Is this normal? It's so loud that it's louder then the game. I have to crank the volume to drown out the fan noise. By the way the fan noise is like a clicking fan noise.

My second Xbox one s and the noise is doing my head in it's a loud fan and buzzing is this just me or is this meant to be making this noise

Ok I moved it and it has not shut off sense but the Xbox One X Fan noise is not constant and is still loud maybe not as loud as a jet engine like I describe before but still loud way louder than my Xbox One S and OG Xbox One, it would have a fan burst
when I'm playing which is loud and annoying and the fan noise would never be at a constant noise level while I'm playing a game.

It's not normal for the console to be so loud as the game especially if it's clicking fan noise. It would be best to get the console replaced or create a repair order via https://account.microsoft.com/devices.
