Xbox Series S Internet Issues

I've notice some odd connection issues with my Series S.

For reference, my Series S and my Modem are both brand new. My modem is a higher end Hitron Modem/Router that I just upgraded to.

Generally, I like to run my game consoles plugged in using an Ethernet Cable to keep my connection running optimally. I started by having my Series S hooked up the same way.

For the first few days, there were little to no issues.

Over the past little while, I've noticed my Series S struggling to keep a stable connection. The two games I play the most currently are Sea Of Thieves and Call Of Duty: MW2 2022.

The problem seems to be the most egregious while running Call Of Duty. When in an online game, I was faced with a lot of latency lag and connections issues to the point where I was getting disconnected from the game, booted off of Xbox Live and my modem itself would seemingly get knocked offline and then have to sort of soft reboot itself. Granted, Call Of Duty has been having some server issues this past while, which they've addressed and been working on.

In Sea Of Thieves, I was starting to run into the issue where I'd start the game, and my Xbox would immediately drop connection OR, I'd be randomly disconnected from Xbox Live while playing about every 30 minutes or so.

I switched to a WiFi connection, and noticed some improvements. Sea Of Thieves stopped booting me off Xbox Live periodically, and while Call Of Duty still lags, it does so far less. No more complete drop out, kicked off network and modem crashing kind of issues.

I thought this was odd, considering in theory, a wired connection should be more stable overall.

So, I tested these games on other platforms using the same modem and the same cable.

On my PS5, Call Of Duty performs wonderfully, with little to no lag.

Sea Of Thieves also runs without issues on my Windows Gaming Laptop.

Why does my Series S seem to have such a disagreeable time with my internet? Is there some modem setting or port options or something I can change on my modem to make my Xbox run more smoothly in terms of connection?
