    Xbox Series S, how many storage devices can support?


    So i got an Xbox Series S.

    Im about to run out of 4tb External HDD storage, and im planing of purchasing another 4tb HDD very soon.

    Will the Series S support Internal, 2 External HDD (3 storages atm) and on a very long term an SSD Memory Card (4 storages)?

    Hi,

    Both Series X/S games and Xbox One games that been optimised (I'm British) for Series X/S must be installed on either the internal storage or the expansion card. They can not be run from a USB connected storage device. My optimised Series X/S Xbox One games
    were moved to my Expansion card during their update.

    Eventually there probably will be games that won't run on the One and will only run on the Series S/X. It's not happening right away.

    Also, about the storage thing. You can use the same external storage device you're using for the One on the Series S/X. It can be used for backwards compatible games. Only the next-gen games would need to be on the internal storage.

    Hi,

    Yes you can use it. You can use any external storage that the Xbox One supported on the Series X and S. However, external storage can only be used to play Xbox One games and BC Xbox 360 and original Xbox games.

    Series X and S titles need to be run either from the internal SSD or the optional expansion card.
