Xbox series s home sharing not working

Xbox one s or series s ?

If xbox one s then no it has to run thru xcloud as the hardware isn't powerful enough meaning non subscriber accounts can't use it

Series s can run it natively thru home share

As SigmaTheDJ shared, that’s not possible. The OS on the Xbox One and Series X/S consoles is very similar, so no matter which of these consoles you have, you can set only one Xbox as the Home Xbox.

As per description, Xbox Series X was set as home console. Your account with subscription and games was tied up to Xbox Series X. Since your Xbox Series X was set as home console, that makes your fiancé able to play the game through game sharing. Here comes another Xbox console, Xbox series S and your fiancé wants to play the game. This time, you will need to have a game license or a separate Xbox Game Pass subscription on the account that was sign in to Xbox Series S. Game sharing is not possible through multiple consoles. The subscription is active on both xbox one and Xbox series s.

1. Xbox one has all games downloaded on to it as they aren't disc versions
   
2. Xbox series s has games shared to it
   
3. If they series s is changed to home, what happens to the xbox one?

You can only set one home console, so that means if you set Xbox one X as home, whoever logs in on the Series S wouldn't be able to play your games though, gold can be shared if you sign in on the Series S (not your home)

So since you are logged in on the Series S, you will be logged off on the Xbox one X.

From your scenario, here's what you can do:

Set a home console that your children can use and you will play on the Xbox that isn't your home.

So whoever signs in on the console that isn't your home, only the gold can be shared.

So if the two children wanted to play together, anyone can log in on the Home Xbox, and for the non-home Xbox, he can only access your subscription if you're still logged in.
