xbox series s headset volume way too low

Please help. About to lose my mind on this one.

I bought both of the new xboxes (series s and series x). The Series S white controller has very little volume with a headset.

If I use the black headset that came with the series x on the Series S box, there is no problem with headset volume. I tried two older controllers (from my old xbox one and one x) and both of those controllers work on the new series S with no headset volume
problems. I tried to use the new series S white controller on my new xbox series x and had the same problem with headset volume being too low.

I am using the same audio settings on both xboxes in both game settings and general settings on the xbox.

I decided that the new white controller must be bad, so I went to Best Buy and bought a new style white controller. I got home and had the same problem. Okay...maybe this one is bad too?

So I went back to Best Buy today and bought a new style Black controller. Got home, did the firmware update and tried it on both boxes (series s and series x). I still have the same problem with both boxes with this new black controller (very low headset
    volume).

    To summarize:

Black Controller that came with Series X - Works great on both xboxes (series s and series x)

Old Controllers from old xboxes one x and one s: Works great on both new xboxes (series s and series x)

White Controller that came with Series S - Headset volume problem on both xboxes (series s and series x)

Both of the new style xbox controllers bought from Best Buy (white one and black one): Headset problems on both new boxes (s and x)

    :)

So to make this even more confusing to figure out. I just dug out my old xbox one s, fired it up and tested all the controller on
it. The old ones still work fine. The black one that came with the new xbox series x works fine. The new style white controller that come with the new xbox series s and the new style black controller bought today from best buy BOTH have the headset low volume
problem on my old xbox one s. Totally confused at this point.

volume on wireless headset it’s too low , why?

Hi, Mattia! My apologies regarding the issue you have with your headset volume. No worries, I'm happy to assist you with this today.

Have you tested it on a different console? I understand you already tried resetting it as well as updating the controller.

Can you please try resetting the headset this way:

    1. Turn on the headset.

    2. Plug the USB into both the headset and console.

    3. Press and hold the power and mute buttons. You’ll hear a throb sound; keep holding, and you’ll hear it again, then continue holding until the headset powers off.

    4. Turn the headset back on while still connected via USB.

    5. Wait for the headset to connect to the console, at which point you’ll have sound! Then unplug it and allow it to reconnect, and everything should be good to go.

    Try updating the console too.

Settings > System > Updates & downloads > Console update

If you can try clearing the cache, much better.

Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off.

Remove everything that is connected to the console

Wait for 3 minutes then connect the Power cord and HDMI cable.

Please let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to hear back from you.

    Thank you!

Seriously, why did I pay $500 for this if I can't even Voice Chat?!?! I smell a class action lawsuit!

My only complaint is the lack of next gen headsets. Why are we still using 1995 $2 headsets? Microsoft doesn't even make the headsets...all they had to do was give turtlebeach and astro the go ahead. For now I use my old turtle beaches and talk through
my kinect in party....but it turns the game volume way too low.

    HBOGO Volume

I believe low TV volume is intentional. A web search indicates that you may have more volume control if using an Xbox headset.
