Xbox series s hdmi port broken

Hi a few weeks ago my hdmi port on my Xbox series s broke my console was in warranty so I booked a repair for a broken hdmi port I sent it to the facility on the 18th of June 2022 without any problems it was great it arrives at the facility on the 27th of June I been itching to get back to gaming later that day I received an email saying my device wasn't serviced and would be sent back I spoke to multiple agents prior saying I would 100% receive a new or my old console back fully working if they couldn't service why would they not tell me when doing the service order now I'm waiting to receive my broken Xbox back which I was promised to be fixed or replaced thanks microsoft

Would you please tell me if the email you received said why the console would not be repaired? And may I know if the broken HDMI port was a factory issue or have you accidentally broken the HDMI port?

Yes. The HDMI port on the Series S is an output. So you would just plug an HDMI cable from the Series S to your TV.

It sounds like it's probably the Xbox's HDMI port then. I had something similar happen to my Xbox 360's HDMI port a while back after a power outage. You might be able to stream to your PC from your xbox's screen while its on using your PC's xbox console
companion app if you didn't disable it in your xbox settings. If that works then your HDMI port may be broken.

Do I continue holding the power button along with the SYNC and EJECT buttons, or just press the power button? I tried exactly how you said and only got one power up tone after 30 seconds of holding.

Edit: The two power up tones only happen if you are holding all three buttons.

Since you've already tried using a different TV and HDMI Cable and the issue still persist, I'm afraid the console needs a service. But I still suggest to keep on trying this.

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button and the EJECT button and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

There's a high chance that this will work since you are still hearing a sound from the console.
