Xbox Series S HDMI-CEC won't change the input. can I set a delay?

I traded in a Nintendo Switch at Gamestop for the Series S I have now. The Switch would turn my ONN TV on and change the input when I turned it on. The Xbox just turns the TV on and doesn't change the channel. I think it may be because it takes about 13 seconds for the TV to turn on. So I think I need to set some kind of delay for the HDMI-CEC settings. Is there any way to set a delay for the HDMI-CEC?

    :)

The Xbox Series X|S doesn't have the feature to turn over the channel yet. That is currently in testing by the Xbox Insiders. It should be released in a future public update. Until then, you will have to change the channel manually.

No that's not it. I'm not an insider and my series S does change the input when the TV is already on.

Why doesn't Xbox consoles(360 and newer) have HDMI CEC?

I believe the Xbox one/360 line should be updated to support CEC
    Not happening. IR only.

Minor workaround: plug a device with CEC into your Xbox's HDMI input. When you turn it on, your CEC supported display(s) should change inputs.

Xbox one won't turn on my insiginia tv when I turn the console on

Hi TexasMaster9351! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

HDMI-CEC is supported only on Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. You must also enable HDMI-CEC on your TV.

Xbox Series X|S consoles can use an HDMI feature called Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) to send commands to and from CEC-enabled devices (such as TVs and AVRs) that are connected to the console.

This feature can be turned on and off via the TV & A/V power options settings screen. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Sleep mode & startup > TV & A/V power options.

: Xbox One X won't turn on my TV anymore

Have you checked the TV itself?

I have an LG TV (different model) and sometimes HDMI-CEC is disabled on my Xbox One X's HDMI input after I change audio output (if I want to use my headphones for a while, for example). Its weird, I've never been able to get to the bottom of why
it happens but, sure enough, go to my TV's general settings while on the HDMI input and SIMPLINK (LG's name for HDMI-CEC) is off. Turn it back on and I'm good to go.
