    Xbox Series S - Every single one of my games keep crashing


    Okay so only had my Series S for 3 weeks, give or take, so pretty much brand new - got it straight from a trusted retailer and box was sealed etc. so definitely not a resold console. I have been playing my games absolutely fine for these three weeks anyway, so I think I would have realised something was wrong from the beginning.

    Anyway, tonight I turn on my Xbox to play games, typical Friday night etc. etc. and I try load up Black Ops Cold War (which again I have been playing extensively since I got the console) and it crashes. I think to myself that was odd as it has never done that before, so I tried again and same result - loads up the splash screen for the game and then goes black for a few seconds and kicks me back to the Xbox home screen. At this point I’m getting a little frustrated so I try again, this time with Cyberpunk and I make it past the splashcreen but it gets stuck on the red text “CD Projekt” and instead of crashing back to the home screen, it just sits there indefinitely. I soon realise it is literally every game in my library that is doing this, with GTA V making it the furthest but still freezing once getting into the game. One point to make is that the console itself doesn’t freeze or crash (I can still bring up the Xbox in-game menu with the Xbox logo button on my remote), it’s only the games themsleves as I’ve seen a lot of threads saying it’s their actual console crashing as oppsed to the games.

    I’ve tried everything, from just logging out of my account and logging back in to actually factory resetting my console and still the same results. I’m going to try calling Microsoft tomorrow and see what they have to say but something is leading me to believe that something is corrupting the game files, whether that be the SSD or what I don’t know but needless to say I’m pretty irate considering it’s literally a 3-week-old console.

    If anyone has had any sort of similar experience or can point me in a better direction then please let me know.

    I don't believe this is a hardware issue. If it is, they need to tell us specifically what is happening that makes our Xbox faulty on only one game. Never heard of that before. Why does every other game work fine with no crashing? Only the Xbox Series X/S version of BF2042 is crashing for ppl on the Series X/S after going through all of the troubleshooting steps, different controllers (someone suggested elite series 2 is a possible cause) etc. Is EA going to address this issue or can we get a more specific technical explanation?
