    Xbox Series S doesn't connect to Wifi anymore after being unplugged for a few days.


    So, I've had trouble connecting with my Series S at times anyway, but was always able to work around it. However right now I'm quite lost. The internet in my apartment, which I share/get from my neighbors, wasn't great but definitely enough for a solid connection.

    Been away a few days and turned off my multiple plugs in the house. Came back today, booted up the Xbox and it said that it couldn't connect to my Internet. Not the first time this happened, so I restarted the Xbox - nothing again. Now an hour later I've tried the following steps:

    - Unplugged the Router for 30 secs and put it back in.

    - Disconnected other devices connected to the network (which is working on them).

    - Tried multiple alternative ports.

    - Cleared my MAC address.

    - Tried the following DNS Settings: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 as well as 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1

    - Unplugged the Xbox again and waited for a bit before turning it back on.

    I don't really have access to the router and I really don't want to bother my neighbor any more. In addition it was working fine the last week. I think last time I had a similiar issue was also when my Xbox was completely disconnected from electricity for a while. I couldn't find anything about that specific issue. Could anyone offer some help?

    Im also having the same problem, my xbox doesn't connect to wifi and every other device in my house could. I even restarted my wifi 4 times and every device would work except my new xbox series x, I never had the problem with my series S. A solution I found
    was to reset the xbox and set it back up through my phone but its only temporary, eventually it will say you can't connect to xbox live. Ive only see a few other people with this problem.

    Try shutting down your console and then unplug it for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes then plug it back in and try connecting to the wifi. If that doesn't help the wifi hardware may have died.

    Thank you for posting in Xbox forum.

    It seems that your Xbox Series S will detect nothing after trying to connect to another network. Let's work on this together in finding the best possibl esolution to this issue.

    There are a few things you can try to resolve this issue:



    1. Make sure your Xbox Series S is within range of your WiFi network and that the network is turned on and broadcasting.



    2. Restart your Xbox Series S and try connecting to the network again.



    3. Check that your WiFi network is not hidden. If it is, you will need to manually enter the network name and password.



    4. Try resetting your network settings on your Xbox Series S. To do this, go to Settings > Network > Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear.

    Initially I had no problems and was able to connect to wifi, but I got home after work and started my Xbox up and noticed it wouldn’t allow me to connect to wifi anymore. I’ve used it for a while with no issue and all of the sudden I can no longer see my

    It got it to work. I recommend leaving it off for a few hours and unplugging everything from the xbox. Also make sure it can not connect to the internet (turn off wifi).

    It seemed to work after that.
