    Xbox Series S corrupting my external HDD.


    My external HDD was corrupted last night. I plugged it in to my PC and reformatted it and it worked fine on my PC. I then went and plugged it back into my Xbox Series S and I reformatted it to install games and apps. I installed my games back and put my console into sleep mode and went to bed. I come back and the external HDD is corrupted once more and it won't even show up on my Xbox when I unplug it and plug it back in.

    It's anyone else dealing with this issue?

    I'm not talking about the general formatter on Windows

    disk tools are direct from.the company and can only be ruined from boot NOT windows

    Because.it low level.not not a 5.min job you are talking HOURS

    It could be the hard drive is failing.

    Xbox formatted hard drives are not compatible with PC or vice versa. You need to leave it on one or the other.

    That's what I did last night and it works without any issues on my PC. But once I connect it to my Xbox Series S it lets me format the HDD and instal my games and apps back but then after awhile it gets corrupted again and it stops showing up on my Xbox.

    This is why you should run it under a low level formatter tool

    If it just keep going then it a bad disk
