    Hi, all.

    If you used to stream your Hulu etc on Xbox 360 and have an old AC input only tv, I hope this helps you.

    Recently, 360 is not working to stream and unable to connect to Xbox live.....many have said this is because they are phasing the 360 out. I purchased the Xbox series s and wow did we go through alot! Took 2 weeks to get it figured out....here is what we learned....first, series s has an HDMI output only in the back so you need an HDMI converter to rca. Not the other way around.

    A dude sold me a converter that was r c a or also called Av to hdmi.....wrong. Must be HDMI to av or also known as rca. You need the rca cables......red white yellow plugs on both ends. Plug one red white yellow plug end into your old tv input and the other 3 colored plug goes into the HDMI converter. The HDMI cord that comes with the Xbox is easy to figure out w the converter. Now the fun part.....you may get all of this connected just to get a row of rainbow colors on tv.....you need to call your cable co.

    And they may need to "open the correct ports" to acknowledge your device. Then......we got that fixed just to get all excited to finally see the Xbox logo and a remote image on the screen. Said just push on remote button to get remote connection w xbox...Not. Had to use a vape type c USB connector and plug small end into remote and larger end into the port in the front of the xbox.......presto.....finally got into Xbox and remote works. You must set up a Microsoft account on the screen or log into your existing one to continue.

    Then you can take a deep breath, download apps etc and stream away. Wanted to help anyone out there if you run into same problems. Blessings to you and I hope you do not have it as tough as we did. It was worth it but wish it was not so difficult. Just will never part w the old big screen to a newer t v!     If the AV Reciever doesn't support 4k pass through that'll be the problem or if the AV receiver isn't HDCP 2.2 compliant. Try connecting the One S directly to the TV's input

    Sound on menu screen should I be worried ?

    incoming calls from cell,wireless devices, backlight power for LCD tvs, and power sources could all be a factor.

    turn backlight up, move wireless devices, possibly get a regulated power brick for it. old tube tvs have this problem alot. using a different cable could also solve it. (s-video,regular av cable YWR, RGB) if all else fails come back but I hope one of those
    will solve your problem.

    You can solve that problem if you get a used Microsoft AV adapter, or one of the third party brand AV adapters that have been confirmed to work correctly (I don't know off the top of my head which ones do).

    The AV adapter is wired to ID as an audio-only connection, and the Xbox 360 will simply wait to re-establish the HDMI link with the TV if it's lost.

    Beware though that many third party AV adapters ID as a composite cable, and have the same problem as the regular AV cable, confusing the Xbox 360 to reboot and output analog video.

    Yes it has multiple HDMI ports. So what I was wondering was even if the cable I've been looking at say HDMI to AV, as long as I hook up the AV cables to the ports in the DISH " AV output" and the HDMI cord into the HDMI on the one. Then use another HDMI
    cord to connect the Xone to my TV. Problem solved? Or will that cord not work?
