Xbox series 2 warranty replacement

I'm just confused on why this replacement process is set up to put all the work essentially on the consumer. Given before this I have never had to use a warranty before or replace anything, so I get that I'm not use to how this is suppose to work but I can't be the only one who has a problem with having to be the one to put money into shipping this controller out to be replaced and THEN waiting two weeks to have it again. I mean it's already the most expensive controller out there and they can't send the replacement to me and I ship the defect back in the packaging the replacement came in?

Just rubs me the wrong way and I don't have another controller because I gave it away thinking I wouldn't need it again, so that's 2 weeks I have to go without playing xbox because their replacement process puts everything on the consumer. I get I sound entitled or something but again that's 2 weeks I go without playing something I spent a lot of money on already..

Does anyone know how to fight this? Or is there another option? I've tried finding one but they sure don't make it easy.

Warranties cover a like for like replacement if required under that warranty so as far as I know, yes, if you send an Elite series 2 in for replacement you will receive an Elite series 2 back.

Where in the world have you been?

No company sends you out a replacement device first companies would go bankrupt with the amount of fraud

Once warrantied the device is removed from your account with the replacement serial.number

Thars how all controllers get replaced ita the industry standard RMA proccess

Would you trust anyone to send you money after you ship a product? I think not

With the world crisis it's expected to have delays but it's actually rare to take the full expected timetable

They just generically state it incase you are in a odd spot that gets delayed

With the current dual crisises it's expected that there is delays

I'm afraid that's how it has always been. You send your device first (whatever it is) and then get it repaired or replaced as the case may be. There isn't any other option sadly neither is there a way to fight this.

I pre ordered my Series X through Best Buy and received it and registered it on my Microsoft account on Nov 11th.

Just this morning I went online to Microsoft Complete warranty website and started an online chat and purchased the extended warranty through Microsoft for $49 plus tax.

All they did was went online and saw my Series X was registered and added on the extended warranty for me.

It is really a good deal at $49 and covers 1 console replacement and 2 controller replacements for 3 years. Best Buy warranty is $69 for 2 years and only covers 1 console replacement and 1 controller replacement.

The Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty.
