Xbox Series 2 Controller Drift - What can I do??

Hi all, new here!

I had drift problems with my Series 1 controller after about 9 months after using a SCUF controller, that I must say was excellent until it got stolen and I never had any issues with them, but unfortunately they have stopped producing controllers to Europe
for the Xbox series.

Bought the Series 2 about 3 months ago, around Xmas time from Argos, obviously I have lost the receipt.... but honestly, when thinking about it, its not really their issue at all, its a faulty controller / a fault they have had for ages and not rectified.

I know there are settings to this new controller but that is a faf trying to match it to what the tension is of the drift.

Can anyone advise??!?! Im stuck in a familiar situation, these things cost a lot of money and its been 3/4 months, not good enough!

do you still have the box that came with your series 2? thumb stick drift is common after extensive usage, sometimes these things happen, but if you have your box, you should be able to register your device on Xbox and then request a free repair, which may
take sometime however with the current Covid-19 issues. usually controllers come with 1 year manufacturer warranty.

No it is true, ive just done as he instructed and it tells me the manufacture warranty ends in 2021

Thats the important thing about receipts, with Argos you could have taken it back to the store as in the UK there is consumer law that protects against faulty goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015) Argos usually ask you if you want a copy of the receipt emailed,
did you take them up on that?

If you can’t find the receipt, then your only option is to see what you are covered for under your warranty and to make a claim via the Device service and replacement site.

This is not true and in most instances Xbox accessories only come with a 90 day warranty as detailed in this document from
the MS site unless otherwise specified to allow the warranty to comply with laws of specific regions.
