Xbox sent to UK repaired, after repair problem is twice worse than before

Hi,

my name is Tomislav Katić and i have bought from dealer tele2 an xbox one s,

when it first started some strange noise was coming from fan.

In a few days i have found out that bad fan bearing is common problem with xbox one s.

It was delivered to the dealer for reclamation.

The xbox was sent from one shop to another and finally it was sent to Link Distribution (UK) ltd.

After almost 2 months the xbox is back with paper work saying that xbox is fixed and they hawe ran it idle for 60 minutes and there was no noise.

When i turned it on, the nose is literally twice as bad from before, when it was sent to be fixed.

I bought that xbox, second controler and a lot of games to play on it but as it turns out it has been played once or twice and the other 2 months is being sent from one shop to another and in the end to UK.

I have been waiting for too long to come back to me and found out that it is worse than before.

I am writing a lot of complaints to everyone asking for brand new xbox because it is obvious that it can't be fixed.

Microsoft giving free digital games for users with broken disc drives

I was just told this while chatting with an MS rep about a separate issue: "Every console sent in for repair will have a free 30 day Xbox Live Gold subscription after the repair. However for those with disc unreadable issue, on top of the free 30 day Xbox Live Gold subscription, they'll receive a free game token." They will email the code after the replacement XBox has shipped.

Actually this is a problem no different than the red ring of death... I have had it now twice on the same XBOX even after it was sent in for repair. the first time was 3 months after i bought it.

 

Your best option would be to contact official support in your country. What country are you in and I'll see if I can get you their number.

 

As far as i'm aware there is no repair centre in the U.K. unless one has recently been added.

All European repairs are sent to Germany.

If your console has been serviced by anyone other than Microsoft then you have voided the warranty & risk a console ban.

 

The xbox was sent to Link distribution (UK) ltd, and i have test results from them. There is no official microsoft repair center in Croatia (the country where i am from).

Is there any contact where i can directly explain my problem to people from microsoft?

 

Croatia is not a xbox live supported country so there are no contact details for support.

Link Distribution is just a retail supplier & not a official Microsoft service centre as far as I can see.

Like I said,the European service/repair centre is in Germany so it looks like your console has been repaired by a third party repair centre.

If that's the case then there's nothing anyone here can do.
