    Xbox sensitivity issue only when using Remote Play. Does anyone have a solution?


    I have Xbox One. I use remote play on Samsung Android phone with the xbox running the game and streaming it to my phone over WiFi.

    When connected, the game (currently Halo 3 on Master Cheif collection) thumbstick sensitive increases and is unplayable. When I turn off remote play it immediately goes back to normal without coming out of the game or resetting anything and reverts back to unplayable as soon as remote play is again connected. I can't figure out why it is doing this.

    Has anyone had this problem and know a solution?

    I can't find anything about this issue online.

    Hi, thank you for your reply.

    App Version

    My xbox app on my phone is version 2212.2. 7, I don't see anything stating gaming services version.

    Troubleshooting

    So far I have tried decreasing the in game sensitivity of the thumb sticks which has no affect while remote play is connected. I checked the remote play settings and ran a test and it indicated everything was OK, all green. I updated my xbox app to the most recent version but to effect.

    I tried resetting router and console.

    I have fast Internet speed 400mbps average. No issues with controller when playing Halo on xbox without remote play.

    When it started

    I was using remote play a few days before I noticed this issue without problem. I did recently format the Xbox to factory settings but I cant remember if I did that before remote play was working OK or after.

    Can you check if you have pending updates

    1. Make sure that your console is connected to the internet, and then press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system> Settings > System > Updates.
    3. Under Updates, you’ll see:
      • Console update available. Select this to begin your update, or
      • No console update available. This means your console is up to date.
