Every time I start my xbox 360 the screen flickers for about 2 seconds then it goes black again. I have an HDMI cable connecting my tv to xbox I've tried all the solutions xbox has on their website with this issue and nothings working. I've tried connecting
the cord to different ports in the tv and that also isn't having any effects on it.

    :)

    Live core service issues

Our Xbox won't even show up on the TV screen. What's going on? Earlier we just couldn't sign into Xbox live now it isn't functioning at all!

Xbox will not show up on TV screen.

    Hey there Lewicki,

Sorry to hear you're having issues connecting your console and TV.

Brandan and Dory both have great suggestions. I would recommend that you try different HDMI cables and try your own HDMI cable on a different TV.

Another step I would suggest is to try resetting your display settings. The steps below will help you.

    1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
    2. Turn off the console.
    3. Turn on the console.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.
    4. As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.
Let us know how that goes and we'll go from there. Happy gaming!

Have you tried using a different or new HDMI cable to the composite cables that came with the console to ensure it's not an issue with the HDMI cable itself.
