    When my son purchased an XBox a few years ago, we set up the XBox and Live Gold membership using my email address. Now he's using it way too much, but I can't seem to be able to set screen time limits for him. When I go into MS account --> Family, there
    is no screen time limit setting option for me (as I am the family account owner). There is for my son, but that's no good to me as the Xbox and LiveGold are under my account. Is there a way around this that doesn't involve him losing his LiveGold account
    and all his XBox friend connections that he's made? Or is the only alternative to wait for the LiveGold account to expire and then set him up with a new profile?

    Thanks very much, I didn't realise you could do that - should to the job for me.

    Would you know if there is a way to transfer his account-specific info from my account to his account - i.e., GamerTag, Achievements, Friends - or will he lose all that? I assume we can't, but just in case.

    Be aware that they can create a new account or go offline with their accounts and both scenarios will bypass screen time.
    No system is perfect and your best first step is parental oversight, if they find ways around the systems you set as a parent it may mean more proactivity on your part.

    The first step is definitely to lock down access to the parent account, the children should have no need or ability to access it.

    That's what I mean, locking down the parent account won't do anything once they know how easy the system is to circumvent.
